Ashley Furniture carries sixty five hundred SKUs, and every month they add items, discontinue items, and change prices. Most furniture retailers try to track that by hand. EZ Process Pro connects directly into Ashley's live system, plus a second connection into Wondersign for sixty five more manufacturer catalogs, so your inventory, your pricing, your images, and your website update themselves. Automatically. In real time.
I built this feature because I lived the nightmare myself. Twenty five years ago I was running operations for my father in law's furniture store. Ashley Furniture's entire catalog came to us as three binders. Each one was five hundred pages, four to five inches thick. One binder for case goods, one for living rooms, one for everything else.
When Ashley discontinued an item, I didn't get a notification. I got a job. I had to walk to every one of the ten sets of binders spread across our seventy five hundred square foot showroom, find the page, and take a black marker to it. If the whole group got discontinued, the picture came out. If it was just the chest in a bedroom set, I put an X over the chest and left the rest.
Ten sets of binders. Every update. By hand. While customers were standing in the showroom looking at furniture we may or may not have still been able to sell them.
That is the exact pain that made me build EZ Process Pro. The first version wasn't even automated, it was just a centralized place to manage the catalog instead of ten sets of binders and a marker. Fifteen years ago, when Ashley opened up their API, we were one of the first to connect to it directly. We knew exactly what problem we were solving, because we had lived it.
If you're not on EZ Process Pro, here's what you're actually responsible for tracking, by hand, for every single manufacturer:
Ashley sends you the updates. A hundred and fifty new items this month. A hundred and fifty discontinued. It's on you to go make every one of those changes across your point of sale and your website, correctly, before you sell the wrong thing to a customer standing in front of you.
Now multiply that by thirty other manufacturers. It's not hard. It's not possible. At some point you either have a system that does this automatically, or you check the status of every item by hand before every single sale.
Say Ashley updates the cost on a nightstand SKU by five dollars. That update lands in the EZ Process Pro database once. It updates your point of sale. It updates your ecommerce website. It happens without you or your team lifting a finger.
That's not a feature bolted onto our software. It's how the whole system is built. Your store and your website run off the exact same data, always.
We built a real, direct connection into Ashley Furniture's API, their live inventory system, and their image library. This is the deepest integration we offer, because Ashley is the manufacturer most of our retailers sell every day.
While you're standing at the point of sale with a customer, you can see exactly how many of that SKU Ashley has available right now at the specific distribution center assigned to your store. You're not guessing. You're not calling. You're selling with the same real time information Ashley has.
Submit POs to Ashley directly from EZ Process Pro. No separate portal, no re-keying an order you already built in your own system.
Every price and cost change flows into your system and your website without anyone touching a keyboard.
No one on your team is downloading images from Ashley and uploading them to your website by hand. Images and product content are pulled and pushed automatically.
Maintaining a connection this deep, for one manufacturer, is expensive and genuinely hard to build. Ashley is the best at it, and we built directly into it because Ashley is that important to our retailers.
Building a direct API connection like the Ashley one for every manufacturer isn't realistic for anyone. Instead of trying to build sixty five separate integrations ourselves, we connected EZ Process Pro to Wondersign, a company that maintains sixty five manufacturer catalogs and keeps them current on a weekly basis.
When a manufacturer updates their catalog with Wondersign, that update pushes straight into EZ Process Pro. Your pricing updates. Your website updates. Your product images update. All without your team touching it.
To be straight with you: our integration with Wondersign does not handle live inventory or submit purchase orders. That level of real time depth is why we built the Ashley connection ourselves, direct into their system. Between the two, you get real time depth on the manufacturer that matters most, and broad, current coverage on everyone else.
Manually maintaining just the Ashley catalog by hand costs a retailer eight to ten hours a week in labor. That's before you count the real cost: selling a discontinued item to a customer, quoting a price that changed three days ago, or a website that doesn't match what's actually on your floor. The hours are real. The accuracy is worth more.
This isn't a nice to have feature on a features list. This is the difference between a retailer who spends eight to ten hours a week keeping one manufacturer's catalog straight, and a retailer who never thinks about it because it's already correct everywhere it needs to be, all the time.
We didn't build this because it sounded good in a sales deck. We built it because I stood in a showroom with a black marker, crossing out furniture in a five hundred page binder while customers waited. Twenty five years in this industry taught us exactly where the pain lives, and this feature exists because we felt it first.
I would recommend this software to most any company. In a company like mine, you get in the habit of doing things the same way you always have, and it will lead to your demise. Now we are more organized in my 100-year-old company than we have ever been. The software saves me a ton of money. If you are unsure about the future in this industry or market, I would say EZ Process Pro is a step in the right direction.
I have had the opportunity to work with and use many management systems. When I found EZ Process Pro, I was blown away with the structure and logical processes. The system does it all. The level of reporting and integrated partners make this software the best manager of success my business has ever seen. I would recommend it to furniture retailers that are looking for an all-in-one solution.
